Adopt-A-Hydrant Program

Fire hydrants are an integral component of active fire protection for the Camden Fire Department. Fire hydrants are directly connected to the city's water mains, and quickly provide large volumes of water for firefighters to use in emergency situations. These hydrants must remain easily visible and in good working order.

As part of its annual maintence and service program, in which firefighters check the operation of all fire hydrants in the city, the Camden Fire Department has instituted a pilot adopt-a-hydrant program. This program will allow residents to adopt and paint a fire hydrant. Anyone interested in participating in the pilot program may call Central Fire Station at (870) 836-2413 from Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
